Division averages for Day 1- outlines where we are able to see the real differences in sections of routines. To break it down i’ll go section by section with comparisons according to scoresheet above

Ready for the scoresheet breakdown? Starting with TVCC/Navarro. Again, this is hugely IMPORTANT to the future of our sport. Refrain from adding info not referring directly to the scoresheet as this is NOT a matter of opinion but a matter of judging cohesiveness.

@deIenart As i’ve stated time + time again that this is not a strictly TVCC/Navarro issue, you may be inclined to take a look at the ways in which navarro or frankly any other school in this division fell short as well. do better

@deIenart Friendly reminder: While you may be under the impression that cheerleading is strictly for your own entertainment purposes, these are real life human beings (most of which have just finished hs) striving for something they have less than 3 minutes to prove

@behindt44463520 Navarro won. Stop with your nonsense. Maybe trinity should have a more difficult routine. Navarro is the best for a reason.

More to come. As for now, Congratulations to the 2023 NCA Collegiate National Champions … Trinity Valley Community College! It is my hope NCA does the right thing and rescores the division with fair, consistent judging and continues in the future with that same mentality.

@rosesandwines If you would have seen my entire post this instance with TVCC and Navarro was the tipping point. This happens in many divisions every year and those will be pointed out as well.

@behindt44463520 Judges always favor Navarro? Broski clearly didn’t watch in 2021 when half of TVCC’s pyramid came down and they only got a BF.

Pt 1: Unfair and Inconsistent Scoring within NCA College Nationals

@MrMarcus456 @StevenHogenson Agreed. But navarro had multiple deductions that were not counted/counted as less severe than TVCC’s.

@behindt44463520 @StevenHogenson Difficulty wise they are neck and neck. However, TVCC had minor traveling in front 1 1/2’s as well as the double down on the end diving and being out of sinc. They also bobbled their double up in pyramid. Was Navarro over scored? Yes. Should they have lost? No.

@cheeranonthings I can go ahead and see if im able to get those scoresheets for you and compare routines. it’s absolutely possible TVCC won through unfair scoring, I can’t give an exact answer because I couldn’t possibly remember the exact details of those routines without doing some research.

@cheeranonthings I’m not sure if that was a case of inconsistent scoring as well. These past few days were just an obvious case of bad judging which is why I felt the need to start the conversation. I stated before, I am not arguing just for TVCC. This is for all teams with any instance of this.

@KallMe_Kris Understand that. However, deductions for one team were still handed out like candy while the other was given the benefit of the doubt for the mistakes they had both days.

The overall judge is most likely the tie breaker and if you aren’t hitting the creative things and the dance not hitting you won’t win…period

@TammyJo45950275 Thank you! I agree, it is a shame. I’ve tried to stay quiet and work behind the scenes to make this sport better but it’s obvious I cannot do it alone.

@behindt44463520 Couldn't have said this better! Your points were spot on and the lack of consistency within the cheerleading judges...allstar and NCA is pathetic. It's really a shame! Kudos to you for making this public! 👏

@Ana26130673 Agreed! This was my next point to cover and will post soon. However, it goes without saying that scoring is beyond screwed up when Weber State hit a perfect routine today (with difficulty at the caliber of USA Cheer and clean as well) and scored way below Navarro
