The persons in the viral photos of a gay couple at some of Ghana’s monumental sites have been identified as Lue and Rue, a South African couple who championed the #ShowGhanaLove Campaign in protest against Ghana’s anti-LGBTQ bill. “We're confronting the erasure and criminalisation of queer people by love-bombing Ghana's iconic landmarks of freedom, showing that until queer people are free, no one truly is” —They shared on their instagram wall.
