And maybe that’s the life I was meant to have; lighter, not perfect, just less heavy. I wish I had been more honest with myself sooner. I think I would’ve been happier, in a quiet way that doesn’t ask to be understood.

There’s a version of me who doesn’t overthink love like this. She just feels it, as it comes and goes, without replaying every word. I think she rests easier at night, without her thoughts circling back endlessly.
