Sorry the news is a little later than usual today, but as many had already feared, football on council pitches has had to be called off again this weekend due to forecasts of further rain on top of already soggy pitches. Fingers crossed for better weather next week... ⛅

@lpoolcouncil @Liverpool_CFA Is the new hub facilities just 'ringfenced' for some leagues, in view of this being the 4th weekend that grass pitches have been called off, why not offer the hubs to those leagues who do not have the opportunity every week !!!!

As expected all grass pitches have been called this weekend as per Liverpool Council...

Are there any U7 teams that play on a Sunday looking for a player? My son’s team plays on a Saturday but he would like to play both days if possible. ⚽️ As close to Warrington /Widnes as possible.... Possibly the @bellevalejfl or Merseyside and Halewood Leagues Sunday leagues

As expected - LCC have called all grass games off this weekend.. The fixtures from Sunday will move onto next week.

As much as we try to leave it to as late as possible to try and get games on, we believe the extreme weather warnings of heavy rain and strong winds on Sunday would be foolish to ignore. To that end we’re postponing Sunday’s fixtures at all of our three venues this weekend 9-2-20
