I've been seeing a lot of people taking issue with the graphics of Kiwami 3 saying it's not up to par of the previous titles but then I loaded up Pirate Yakuza and they look identical? All screenshots below taken directly from my PS5 10min ago.

@Verrial_ @SnakeRevolver @tdkumon AI is just completely fucked in the remaster.
Mix of it being genuinely broken, allegedly always using Legend Mode AI on every difficulty (which block way more often), and hit reactions being fucked up so that combos are inconsistent

maybe that's just a "skill issue" but both pirate yakuza and this demo's combat don't really feel like im doing anything except for mashing X a bunch of times and then Y a bunch of times
it's like im just watching them doing some cool lookin moves without actually doing anything

@JoeLongBalls @TequilaMan89 Pirate Yakuza is even more slapped together but with a nothing story and combat encounters ripped straight out of a Dynasty Warriors challenge mode stage. Half the game is fighting dozens of guys in a flat arena or straight hallway.

@TequilaMan89 Lost Judgement was all gas. I like 7 and 8 but 7 was working out the formula and when they got the turn based combat down the narrative took a hit bigly on 8 and I haven't bothered with the pirate spinoff because Gaiden was kinda slapped together

most people playing quick play in any game, is still generally trying to win, but with an allowance to fuck around a little, someone saying "it's quick play dude" in chat is almost always a response to someone fucking tweaking out in chat because their character got picked first

@HowTropical @FormerSoulKing @ThatManThatGuy Pirate Yakuza ship stuff would probably be a lot less annoying if you could fast travel to and from lighthouses and visited islands at any time and if the boost was like twice as fast outside of combat. The fact that lighthouses dont work like Taxis do now is the worst part imo

@FormerSoulKing @ThatManThatGuy True but because of that, pirate yakuza feels so bloated and not in a good way. Ship traversal is just not good enough to justify the amount of times you do it. At least gaiden’s bloat was more manageable

@rad_dude124 GG lore fucking sucks to learn about. 90% of the ingame story pre-XRD is random non-canon scenarios with all the actual meat being in random drama CDs and art book blurbs.
Some characters straight up have like 7 different non-canon story paths/endings from X to XX to AC
