@jamesagardner @chrisboyer There’s also a number of other identifying pieces of data that commonly gets sent to these other platforms. Simply removing the IP address isn’t sufficient to actually anonymize those interactions.

@jamesagardner @chrisboyer It could help. If it’s an optional feature, though, it probably won’t be sufficient. People could be using a privacy centered browser like DuckDuckGo today. Their choice to use Chrome/Firefox/etc. or doesn’t get healthcare organizations off the hook.
