@richardowenLD @henrywinter @The__1958 A very different situation of course. The structures of the club perhaps limits the effectiveness of what worked at Blackpool. I hope that something can be tried which is more effective than

@benbarrister @henrywinter @The__1958 The income generated by F&B at the stadium is a small percentage of the overall income at Utd. The optic of an empty stadium would embarrass the Glazers but not hit them in their pockets. Protesting against sponsors & high net worth fans would be a better option

More anti-Glazer protests this weekend. Manchester United fans’ group The 1958 join forces with FC United of Manchester on ‘United United Day’ this Saturday at Broadhurst Park. @The__1958: “It’s a unique show of strength and solidarity. For over 20 years the United fanbase have been fractured. The 'United United' day protest is a show of intent. The first step on our strategy was to speak to FC United, who led the way in 2005 and warned about the dangers of Glazer back then. "This reconciliation was long overdue and our discussions have revealed mutual respect and common ground. We both stand for affordable football, responsible ownership, and protecting fan culture with actions not words.” @FCUnitedMcr: “The 1958 reached out to us and our discussions have affirmed that our goals are aligned; Manchester United has no future whilst the Glazers retain control of the club. The interests of supporters must be the key priority at Manchester United, as they must be at every football club. "In an age where it is all too easy for supporters to believe that they are powerless and simply keep their heads down, The 1958 have continued to stand up and demonstrate their opposition to the Glazer occupation at Old Trafford. We are proud to stand with them and say: 'enough is enough'.” #MUFC

@henrywinter @The__1958 When Blackpool fans protested against Oyston they did not attend games. That was effective and began the process of ridding him. United fans should - if the feel that strongly - follow the example. Money is everything to the Glazers.

Apparently Woolwich Crown Court is closing 4 of its 12 courtrooms indefinitely from Monday, due to cuts. Meanwhile this high-security jewel in the Court estate adjourns cases from 2020 to the end of 2025 and beyond. I thought Labour were going to be better than this.
