Hugh lets us in on the highs and lows of his career, the unforgettable moments on the course, and the life-altering experiences that shaped him as a player. His father's illness was a turning point that toughened him up, while his knack for hitting long irons off the tee and working to his strengths led him to win two championships in 2022. He takes us through the thrill of leading the North and South Amateur tournament, the disappointment of not being selected for the Walker Cup team, and the invaluable lessons he's learned along the way. @Royaldublin1 @MattGinella @firepitstories

Got a few messages about the playoff been done in the dark, the options were limited at the time play finished but the lack of a plan really effected it as players finished, how the tournament was going to be decided was unsure obviously the players wanted to settle it on the greens. Once it was decided on playoff it was said it would be sudden death to a max of 3 holes due to limited light. It wasn’t until the second playoff hole was done that the players found out it was a 54 hole count back ( James would win if count back used ) on 18 tee the players were asked if they wanted to continue and both agreed to play that hole by the time it got to the green it was pretty dark not easy to read putts with the hole been halved ( at least the dark didn’t decide the championship) Both had played some outstanding golf and work to hard for an outside influence to decide it so what could have been done ???? Count back was it Should they have been asked to return the following morning maybe but this is an amateur game and other commitments may have got in the way I don’t know. It was a great win by James and a great week by Rob

Does your practice have a structure? Do you like to practice alone or with others? All these things need to be in place for you to get the best out of yourself! If it’s not transferring to the golf course - change it up!
