"Today is liberation day for the American consumer. The Supreme Court’s decision overturning the Trump tariffs is a victory for our tattered Constitution and the beleaguered American consumer," @ThirdWayKessler said on SCOTUS overturning Trump's tariffs.

Democrat here 🙋♂️ And this is correct.
"Debt cannot simultaneously be a life-ruining burden and an essential tool that students must have unlimited access to. One of those claims has to give."

This is a public safety crisis—created by an American president.
Americans are being harmed & killed by federal immigration enforcement, & the White House is responding with spin not accountability.
That is not normal. And it’s not acceptable. This is @ThirdWayTweet’s response.

Brilliant response to the current moment. Showing how much more effectively OBBBA's money could be used to actually protect Americans.

"Public safety isn’t a slogan. It is a responsibility. And it starts in our communities," @SenCortezMasto said. Her new bill redirects ICE's funding expansion to local law enforcement—while still protecting ICE's annual funding—to improve public safety. ms.now/opinion/ice-bu…

Rules for short-term Pell Grants need stronger guardrails to protect students. “There’s just a lot we don’t know about what financial returns students will get in the labor market by pursuing a short-term program,” says @BenCecil. More from @KMulhere 📰

Democrats are finally calling it out: this administration’s hyper-focus on immigration is making Americans less safe.
Led by @SenRubenGallego, 30 Senate Dems warn it’s a “stunning abdication” of the executive branch’s basic duty to keep Americans safe.

Let's talk about electricity bills.
For a townhome in Northern VA, our bill this month was $381.73. Of that amount, @DominionEnergy charged us $282.06 for "electricity supply charges". This is what it costs to generate electricity--amounts that we have *zero* control over.

Chancellor Purdue and I come from different sides of the political aisle, but we can both agree as Georgians and USG grads: college IS worth it, and partisan narratives to the contrary only hinder economic mobility and the value of a college degree.
