I have to give @Money @KMulhere some props for this year's Best Colleges' list. It excludes the schools that admit less than 20% of applicants, as the vast majority of students don't go there. That's kind of huge. It also mostly focuses on outcomes. 👉money.com/best-colleges/

I always wonder how much money schools pay to try to get on this list that could be used to better students experiences.

@CheckAnfro To be transparent: They can pay after the fact to use our logo + badge in marketing materials. That's fairly standard across most media rankings (whether for colleges or another topic).

@mikeitzkowitz @Money Michael: Money included outcomes from the very beginning of the current rankings project - going back I guess 8? years. I know because I did it. In previous years, Chetty data, student loan repayment data and Scorecard employment and earnings data were included.

Add them to the list. @Money joins the growing number of college ranking publications that are finally beginning to focus on student outcomes rather than selectivity and exclusivity. This year it includes outcomes from our Economic Mobility Index. money.com/these-are-the-…
