Breaking someone’s nose doesn’t win a fight, and btw, noses are easy as fuck to break 🤡 Effective grappling / takedowns are judged by the successful executions and impactful/effective results from takedowns, submission attempts, reversals, and achieving advantageous positions. The only round in which Khazmat had effective grappling was round 1. He clearly controlled the fight an Strickland couldn’t do much. In round 4, he had late grappling but also better effective striking. Those are the 2 rounds he clearly won. In every other round, Khazmats grappling was ineffective and Sean countered his grappling and stood the fight back up where he continued to land more effective strikes. It’s really not hard to comprehend once you actually understand how the scoring system works, which you obviously don’t.

The most insane take from last night is pretending Sean Strickland put up any defense on the ground Khamzat took him down at will & Strickland couldn’t defend a takedown or get up until Khamzat just quit wrestling & pulled guard bc he had to make the fight competitive Strickland’s TD defense & striking looked the worse it’s looked in his career. It was obvious who was the better fighter The UFC is threatening to Mokaev guys if they use a wrestling heavy approach & it’s clear they desperately want American champions for their bottom line With all that being said even though Khamzat was robbed brutally he looked like trash in there too
