@Cgoodwin188 Yup. Really feels like we fell apart after they sold Enrique.

The club really moved on from Enrique, Araujo, Schlegel, and so many others with no replacements

@daguru9 @TheEnglishLion1 Is it on the Wilfs or Moreira? Just feel like we got rid of a lot of our quality backup players with experience and didn't replace them with much idk..

We are just a dreadful side... Pasalic and Ojeda the only players of genuine quality out there today. It's going to be a LONG season. #OrlandoCity

@andrew_wiebe Yeah for sure. I think overall the general sentiment is that it was time, but the timing just feels a little odd and probably could have been done a little better. But that is what it is at the end of the day. Onward.

@andrew_wiebe Yeah while I do feel like it was time I do agree with you it feels a bit of knee-jerk. Seems like we should have moved on end of last year if we're gonna do it. Or let Oscar have the reins through this year. Idk maybe the FO already have someone in mind they're trying to get 🤷‍♂️

Oscar made Orlando a perennial playoff team after years of mediocrity, but they collapsed down the stretch last year and have looked way off it to start ‘26. Clearly FO/ownership decided the ceiling they want to hit (and perhaps floor given early results) required change.

Orlando City and Head Coach Oscar Pareja have mutually agreed to part ways. Assistant coach Martín Perelman has been appointed interim head coach following Pareja’s departure.

@mikeaspillane Yep. I'm grateful for what Pareja has done. But it sort of feels like we may have already peaked with him. Can't blame him for everything. But his tactics have been pretty frustrating to watch for a while now. Just my non-expert take after feeling frustrated from last night haha

@mikeaspillane @alonso_inca This 100%. Love Dunc but we're going to be less concerned where he fits if we manage to sign Griezmann lol. Just the reality.

@alonso_inca Counterpoint, good managers play to the strengths of their most talented players and he would be one you build around.

Yes, Griezmann would be a huge signing, no doubt about it. From a club and scouting perspective, it would be excellent business. But in Oscar Pareja’s system, I see it as complicated. I don’t see Duncan dropping deep to do the defensive work Griezmann would require, then going back to play as a No. 9. In Pareja’s structure, everyone defends. Everyone runs. Everyone does the dirty work. You can’t ask the entire team to cover extra ground for one player, that’s just not how this system operates.

@BootySweat123 @tombogert @wlodar85 Agreed. I'm imagining the idea is maybe Jansson doesn't actually need to play every minute of every game and can make it through the whole season.

@Fladoodler18 @lpo_podcast Exactly. Like I have no idea how it's gonna work out but ownership and FO seem to really be taking the step back last season seriously and at least *trying* to take steps to fix things.

@benhybart I'm glad you said that cause I've said that a few times on @lpo_podcast. We're about to spend over $10 million on 3 U22 players. Sure, there's more to do but they ownership is spending. We'll see f they do it on the high end!

@mikeaspillane Also sorta makes me question if some of the departures we saw (i.e. Schlegal) weren't his doing so much as the FO. Could be totally wrong but he certainly doesn't seem pleased in this clip.

@FloridaisPurple Agreed. I know Smith wasn't great but I liked him and I don't think he was making a huge salary. And frankly still scratching my head about Thorhalsson a little bit haha. I'm on board with changes but feels maybe a little excessive with some of these departures.

it's dawning on me that "the UI/menus get easier" just actually for me means "you eventually learn everything you can ignore and never have to figure out but still make the game work and get along fine"

@tombogert I am barely awake you gotta give me time to process all of this sheesh. So to recap this morning: - Tiago from Bahia on a U22 - Rodrigo to Atlas in Liga MX - DDT to Montreal Plus Luis Otavio also on a U22. This is insane… #VamosOrlando #OrlandoCity

@Orlando_CityUK Yes, get rid of Muriel. Benteke has proven he can score goals, and having a target man bully up top would give us a different way of playing and could work well with him holding it up for/knocking it on for Ojeda/Pasalic
