@andrew_wiebe Yeah for sure. I think overall the general sentiment is that it was time, but the timing just feels a little odd and probably could have been done a little better. But that is what it is at the end of the day. Onward.

Oscar made Orlando a perennial playoff team after years of mediocrity, but they collapsed down the stretch last year and have looked way off it to start ‘26.
Clearly FO/ownership decided the ceiling they want to hit (and perhaps floor given early results) required change.

Yes, Griezmann would be a huge signing, no doubt about it. From a club and scouting perspective, it would be excellent business.
But in Oscar Pareja’s system, I see it as complicated. I don’t see Duncan dropping deep to do the defensive work Griezmann would require, then going back to play as a No. 9.
In Pareja’s structure, everyone defends. Everyone runs. Everyone does the dirty work. You can’t ask the entire team to cover extra ground for one player, that’s just not how this system operates.

Fee around $3.5 million and English clubs were interested but Orlando was the only one to offer money. @mikeaspillane Also sorta makes me question if some of the departures we saw (i.e. Schlegal) weren't his doing so much as the FO. Could be totally wrong but he certainly doesn't seem pleased in this clip.
