This has been a long time coming. For a while now I've wanted a business partner like @beniskillen Someone who can help take what i've done with @collective_eth over the last 6 years & supercharge it for its growth into the next stage. He's the kinda guy who takes massive topics & is able to distill it into digestible & actionable roadmaps for people to benefit from. He's an athlete & great team player. He's spent years now with a beautifully simple approach. 1) identify a business model with a tonne of unlocked value potential 2) Doesn't ask to be paid up front, simply says "let me show you how much more money & impact this can do & you can pay me later" 3) a PROPER systems thinker who can balance my "flow" & raw energies. +++ A) He's going to be running workshops for our members, designed to help them make even more money while working even less. B) Since he's gotten here he's already systemized a bunch of stuff I used to do on the fly & the system is starting to feel like it can operate without me. C) & finally... I'm not the one random tall dude who's way taller than everyone else 🤣 (can you tell he was a basketball legend?) So what does this mean for our members? ALOT more value -- for the exact same price. Our inner circle members will continue to benefit for many many years to come. Your businesses will grow & Your network will grow. Your tribe will have your back & you will never walk the path alone again. (oh & ... it'll be a tonne of fun while you're at it <3)

I always wondered why most billionaires continue to work more hours than most people on this planet. After 10+ years in business I realise that works gives us peace. Our spirit lives in our work, when we align ourselves properly. Our work works on us, more than we work on it.

The thing that was costing me everything (and I already knew it) "Damn.. you're so talented, so smart. I genuinely don't understand why you're not rich yet." I heard that more times than I can count. From people I deeply respected. People who had built real things, moved real money, sat at real tables. Every time, I smiled and changed the subject. Because somewhere beneath the surface, I already knew the answer. I wasn't someone people could count on. And the uncomfortable truth? I wasn't even someone I could count on. Our community brunches happened whenever I felt like it. The mastermind calls happened whenever I felt like it. I told myself it was freedom. What it actually was, was fear. Fear that a schedule meant I'd lose the option to sleep in, to disappear for a week, to be spontaneous, to not show up if I just didn't feel like it. I called it protecting my freedom and It was costing me everything. The people around me couldn't name it. But they felt it. Shaky. Ungrounded. Maybe even unstable. They weren't wrong. And the worst part? I kind of knew it too. Here's the trap I was stuck in, one I couldn't see from inside it: No schedule meant I had to scramble to fill every event manually. The scramble left me exhausted. The exhaustion made me crave space. The craving for space made any kind of commitment feel suffocating. So there was no schedule. Round and round. A vicious cycle you can't really see until you step outside it long enough to let it breathe. Here's what took me 32 years to understand: You cannot be devoted to your business, your clients, or your tribe if you are not first devoted to yourself. To your own practice. Your own rhythm. Your own word. And the moment I made that commitment, something strange happened. I felt more free than I had in years. Not less. More. Because structure doesn't cage you. Structure is what lets everything flow without force. When the brunch is on the calendar, people plan around it. When the mastermind is monthly, the room fills itself. When people can count on you, they start showing up for you. The hustle that used to leave me wrecked after every event? Gone. Not because I'm working less. Because I stopped working against myself. Now everything is scheduled months in advance. The tribe orients around it. The energy that used to go into pushing, chasing, and convincing, that energy is free now. Free to go into the actual work. The actual relationships. The actual building. Structure gave me leverage. Consistency gave me trust. And trust gave me the room to finally become the person people saw in me all along. 32 years. Don't take as long as I did.

Over the past couple of weeks @beniskillen has been asking me everything there is to know about the history of @collective_eth & what we've done in the last 5 years through this process he's uncovered & been able to document over $13M of economic activity - a number I hadn't even thought about quantifying. With his expertise, skillsets & magic... We're about to take @collective_eth to a whole new level. Watch this space.

How to not worry about money: 1 - Define a big goal. 3+ years. Dissect it. 2 - Allocate time so you spend energy on what moves the needle. 3 - Connect work to milestones of the goal + earning more p/h. 4 - Form a dopamine loop. Love the journey. 5 - Spend less than you earn.

If you don’t decide exactly what you’re going to do with your time in advance it will be decided for you. Live deliberately. You are the hero of your own story. Don’t be an NPC.

We evolved to control our own body weight. Climbing, squatting, crawling. The human body adapts to its environment. When we don’t do what we’ve evolved to do, we adapt in a way that goes against our evolution. Functioning as we’ve supposed to has become extra ordinary.

Creating value doesn’t have to come in the form of something physical. Knowledge is the currency of the 21st century. Instead of building another clothing brand, why not seek to solve a life problem? Our world needs its problems solved, not more ‘stuff’.

Truth is relative. Humans don’t possess the sensory organs to perceive everything in the universe. We’ll never be able to know everything. When frustration creeps in from someone else’s truth it can pay to keep fundamental science in mind. Smile. Don’t be too serious :)

Work life balance is more useful when conceptualised over a longer timeframe. Daily = living for 5pm. Weekly = living for the weekend. Monthly = living what matters. Quarterly = living to celebrate achievement. Annually = living a new identity. Longer term = bigger goal.

Anxiety is the best sign that your energy is being used in the wrong way. We’ve all got a purpose inside of us. When we’re moving towards that purpose, anxiety goes away.

Chase your thing. The thing you’ve been sitting on for years. The thing that screams out at you when you’re on a run. The thing you know you could bring to the world. The thing that will turn dream to reality. It might not work out. But it will send you where you need to go.
