Notion has been shipping like crazy. Here's what you probably missed 👇 1️⃣ Tab blocks Type /tabs to create a horizontal layout. Only the active tab loads — performance win included. Absurdly useful inside database templates. 2️⃣ H4 headings Four heading levels now. Small change — unless you're pushing pages to WordPress or any publishing tool. Then H4 suddenly carries the right HTML tag through the API. 3️⃣ Page archiving Archive a page and it disappears from views but stays in the database. Deprioritised by search and AI. Think of it as the inverse of verification — three priority tiers now: verified, default, archived. 4️⃣ Slides Add dividers to a page, click Present. That's it. You can now jump to any slide mid-presentation. Stupid simple and I keep reaching for it. 5️⃣ Dashboard views A proper new view type. Responsive grid, multiple databases, global filters across all of them. Setting a filter on 6 views at a time? Finally possible 😍 6️⃣ My Tasks Back as a standalone page. Connect multiple task databases, aggregate them in one place. Not a fix for workspace chaos, but useful when you genuinely need it. 7️⃣ "Can Create" permissions People can create their own entries in a locked database without seeing anyone else's. No more form workarounds. Big for client portals and team databases where privacy matters. 8️⃣ Custom meeting note instructions Write your own summary instructions per meeting type — and map them to your database templates. Reference docs work too, so you can feed it a terminology dictionary and improve accuracy. 9️⃣ Cheaper AI models Haiku, Gemini Flash, Minimax — now available in custom agents. For simple routing workflows, you don't need Opus. This will matter once agents leave free trial. 1️⃣0️⃣ AI image generation /AI image, or through your agent, or as a page cover. ~10 per day per account (30 / month). I keep hitting the limit, which tells you something 😎 1️⃣1️⃣ Unified inline AI The on-page AI is now the same model as your personal agent. And you can move conversations from the page to the sidebar if things get more complex than expected. 1️⃣2️⃣ Markdown API endpoint This one's for the builders. Instead of getting back a wall of JSON blocks, you can now request a page as clean markdown. Dramatically fewer tokens, way easier to work with in external agents. meeting notes in Notion just got a lot better 😍 custom instructions are here — and they're not just instructions. Previously, you could only pick from a few preset types that didn't let you steer the output. So you'd always end up layering an agent on top just to get what you needed from the transcript. Now you can create custom instructions that are reusable across meetings. Sales calls, all hands, feedback rounds — each gets its own setup. But it's actually a tiny agentic flow. It can look up contacts from other places in your workspace. That means... ✅ rich mentions over pure text ✅ look up company-specific terms in a dictionary ✅ centralise specific information (i.e... skills 😎) and use across AI workflows week 2 of Notion's 10 weeks of meeting notes updates. what do you think is next?
