NHAI takes robust measures towards cleaner air and sustainable mobility on the #DwarkaExpressway!
NHAI has facilitated an advanced PUCC enforcement initiative to curb vehicular pollution in the National Capital Region. Using AI-enabled Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras installed under NHAI’s Automatic Traffic Management System, vehicles with expired Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificates are now being automatically identified through real-time verification with the VAHAN database by Gurugram Traffic Police.
Violations are processed by @TrafficGGM through the NIC e-challan system, and enforcement has been made effective from 24 December 2025.
This technology-driven initiative marks an important milestone in discouraging polluting vehicles, improving air quality, and building safer, greener National Highways for all.
NHAI urges all vehicle owners to renew their PUC certificates on time, maintain their vehicles to minimise emissions, and drive responsibly.
