@simonsbargains @Markm106 The retention thing is overstated. They have the time and means to be in Melbourne in 45 minutes regularly. And for the older players with kids they're just going to work and coming home. They'll be able to be in the best parts of Hobart.

@Markm106 High end talent will come early because they’ll be big $$ incentives initially to go down there. After that, player attraction and retention will depend on culture and performance. If they can be contending within a few years, players will want to be there.

I think Hinkley is a great appointment for Tassie. It won’t help his premiership coach aspirations. I do agree with some that attracting high end talent may be an issue. It will be an interesting watch.
