This magistrate is drunk of power. He could have stood the matter down or postponed it to the earliest available date to find out why the prosecutor was not available as opposed to making impulsive judgments that seek to put the whole criminal justice system into disrepute. The Magistrate should also be investigated.

BREAKING: State Prosecutor has been found guilty of contempt of court and the chief magistrate will issue warrant for his arrest.
This after the prosecutor did not listen to an order that he be in court by 9am today.
The prosecutor did tell the court on Friday that he won’t be able to make it.
Despite this the magistrate ordered he be arrested and is found in contempt. She called his behavior unacceptable and unprofessional.

A Sonoff geyser timer is basically a smart switch for your geyser.
Instead of reheating water 24/7 like most homes do by default, you schedule when the geyser is allowed to run.
Example:
05:00–07:00
18:00–20:00
Less unnecessary reheating = less prepaid electricity used

I’ve been using this smaller size (circuit breaker size) for over two years. Trust me, I’ve never been this happy on electricity consumption. You can share the appliance with your partner so she also has control on when she/he wants to operate the gyser. Also helps regulate high voltages and temperatures.

You cannot give emaSwati a spoilt product. Remember this product/produce was delivered last year around June-July. Farmers were paid as per their contract so they are safe on this particular transaction. NDMA together with NMC also has last year contracted some more farmers probably at the same producer price to produce for their market in which NDMA was an off-taker and their produce will be delivered starting next month. Let’s wait and see as to either those beans will be absorbed or prices will be revised.

When the grain markets had a shortage of beans last two seasons ago, the demand and price short up drastically. Beans consumed locally were sourced as far as Malawi through Mozambique at a cost of over E30,000 per tonne. Farmers close by and within Eswatini were contracted by traders to produce for them for the 2025 season (product harvested in June to July). There was a bumber harvest and this harvest was also experienced by Zambia and Malawi (biggest producers of beans). This drastically dropped the bean price to around R18,000 per tonne. NMC had contracted farmers at +E22,000 per tonne. NMC should have bitten the bullet and sell at slightly below cost than store a product that doesn’t have a long shelf life.

They were not practicing Price Fixing. They were practicing what we call Cornering the market (when a firm buys such a large quantity that it can influence prices or control supply). It backfired because they had hope that their regulator will protect them by closing the borders, in which ot would have been illegal!!
