This looks serious. A @Starlink satellite "experienced an anomaly on-orbit, resulting in loss of communications [...] We will continue to monitor [...] any trackable debris" A comms anomaly doesn't create debris... something popped. What are they not telling us?
Starlink@Starlink

On Sunday, March 29, Starlink satellite 34343 experienced an anomaly on-orbit, resulting in loss of communications with the satellite at ~560 km above Earth. Latest analysis shows the event poses no new risk to the @Space_Station, its crew, or to the upcoming launch of NASA’s Artemis II mission. We will continue to monitor the satellite along with any trackable debris and coordinate with @NASA and the @USSpaceForce. The event also posed no new risk to this morning’s Transporter-16 mission, which was designed to avoid Starlink with payload deploys well above or well below the constellation. The SpaceX and Starlink teams are actively working to determine root cause and will rapidly implement any necessary corrective actions.

Fahrenheit it's human based. 100 degrees? All hot. 0 degrees? All cold. 50 degrees? Kinda in the middle, cool enough to wear long sleeves but not need a jacket if the wind is still. I can hold about an ounce in my hand. A "cup" of water is about 8 hand-cups. An inch is my thumb. A foot is my foot. A yard is from my nose to the tip of my finger. A mile is how far I can walk without considering it exercise. These are all human based things that have complex relationships by necessity. Nobody cares the temperature water boils at when you need to check if you should wear a jacket. Less than 50F? Jacket.

@JennMGreenberg @spes_man She had the physical God man in her womb. Maybe you don't quite understand the significance of that. Moses wasn't even able to look at God because of his glory... Mary carried him in her womb! She gave God Her flesh... Flesh of my flesh, bone of my bone. Adelphos=step bro

I never understood the purpose of this doctrine. Obviously Mary was a virgin when she had Jesus, but why must she remain perpetually so? Especially when the Bible talks about Jesus’s brothers. She was married to Joseph and sex within marriage is good, not sinful.
Michael Knowles@michaeljknowles

When it comes to the perpetual virginity of Mary, do you agree with the Catholic view or with the view of Protestant reformers Martin Luther, Ulrich Zwingli, and John Wesley?

Most Christian churches try to follow Christ's command, I Corinthians 11:25 NKJV In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me." Denying His children Communion elements is not scriptural.

Researching where to take my wife on vacation Preference is somewhere with a one-hour timeshare presentation in exchange for a free night Best deal in the travel industry One hour of my time for a $400 room I bill out higher than that but the ROI is undeniable My wife said "we are not doing that" I said "it's one hour" She said "the last one was supposed to be one hour. We were there until lunch." I ask a lot of questions But we left with the entire trip comped She didn't mention that part It's the only interaction where I look at the ceiling more than she does Open to suggestions Sent from my iPhone

❓️❓️❓️Question ❓️❓️❓️ Is it normal for a Christian to question their savlation? I spend many a sleepless nights laying awake questioning weather I actually know God and am saved or if its just a part I play. What does it mean to have a personal relationship with God? Does anyone else feel this way? How did you get over it?

The Senate's institutional hollowness was exposed when Thune and Schumer pushed through a 3 AM vote to strip ICE funding with only 5 senators present. I no longer take seriously any appeals to procedure or tradition. The rules are engineered to serve K Street, preserve lawmakers' comfort, and sideline the public they claim to represent.

I notice that the anti Catholic behaviour really ramps up during important feast days. Fine. Tell me then why St. John had to take Mother Mary to his home if Jesus had full blooded siblings.
Wilfred Reilly@wil_da_beast630

The idea that a non-monastic Roman citizen just opted to never have sex with his pretty wife for 40 years, and all the people who are explicitly called Jesus' brothers were his distant cousins, is a fascinating example of dogma - a thing believed because one is supposed to believe it.

Talking to teenagers like they are adults with a bit of training needed is good. Treating them like 7 year olds is bad. But the abuse from those who want to destroy the family unit is horrific and widespread. Physically mature but mentally developing humans didn't just marry young in the past, they dealt with extremely harsh life realities and learned self sufficiency while still having communities and churches that built up roles they could fulfill and lead successful lives. The baseless lives modern society tries to impose upon us at that age now leaves no foundation upon which to build successful lives and those years are now spent on "self discovery" because the answers known for millenia about what humans are and what is required of them have been stripped from what every child was taught.

@bensaved @HistoryWJacob Simple. Long hours for under 18 stays illegal and age of consent remains. But do treat them like up and coming adults with more privileges but more reasonable responsibilities. That way nobody with bad motives gets their way

The concept of "teenager" is a modern invention. For most of human history, a boy of 13 was already a man, apprenticed in a trade or fighting in a war. George Washington was a professional surveyor at 16. Alexander Hamilton managed a trading company at 14. In medieval Europe, noble boys could be pages at 7 and squires by 14. In Rome, a boy put on the "toga of manhood" at 14. The idea that an 18 year-old is "still figuring things out" would have been incomprehensible to our ancestors. I believe this is why we think teenagers are so troubled. They are men and women stuck in a society that treats them as children. Of course they are going to "rebel". We should give them more responsibility and expect much more of them.

When the Pope makes questionable comments, it makes me GRATEFUL to be Catholic. Because the Pope has no authority to unilaterally change Catholic dogma with his pastoral comments. The Pope speaks in two ways, pastorally and rarely, infallibly (called ex Cathedra, which requires a certain set of specific circumstances as the Pope acknowledges, not invents, a doctrinal interpretation). The latter almost never happens. That’s important— His comments today are in his pastoral capacity. He wasn’t speaking ex Cathedra. Catholics aren’t required to agree with his opinions. It’s annoying for sure, I wish the Pope was a wiser leader on matters of politics. But I’m SO grateful to be Catholic because imagine he were the leader of a Prot church—he could change doctrine based on his own faulty opinions at a whim. That’s not the case with Catholicism. Grateful to God for His Church that remains as it always was and always will be despite the turmoil of the world and the sins of man. 🙏🏼
