why I am leaving dubai for unknown time ❌ ———— There are places you don’t just visit. You grow into them. They become part of your rhythm, your memories, your sense of home. For years, the Bulgari Hotel Dubai was such a place for me. In fact, it was the only place in Dubai I truly liked. It offered calm, privacy, and an escape from the otherwise hectic pace of the city. It felt insulated from noise, urgency, and spectacle. That sense of refuge mattered to me deeply. I spent countless days there, built relationships, invested not only time but hundreds of millions of dirhams into properties, and genuinely loved what the place represented at its best. That is why this is not easy to write. Unfortunately, I no longer seem to be welcome there. Over time, a pattern became impossible to ignore. What may appear on the surface as a parking issue is merely the visible tip of a much deeper iceberg. The repeated situations at the hotel entrance, where certain vehicles were allowed to remain parked for weeks without keys simply because they tipped more generously, are not the core issue. They are only the most obvious symptom. Such practices stand in contradiction to local regulations and reflect standards the current management openly tolerates. Out of respect, and for the safety of the people who work there, I will not go into further detail. What hurt most was not inconvenience. Starting Tuesday, I will move fully to Abu Dhabi. I will not return to Dubai until the management situation changes. This is a real shame. The property itself remains exceptional. When a place you loved no longer recognizes you, the only dignified response is distance.
