Rocket’s Honchkrow is legit broken! I smashed through the ladder on stream & had a 12 game win streak & made it to 1700 elo! I’m getting serious Gholdengo vibes with this deck 😝

@bensonchiang @Ian__Robb The only Crustle in the top 16 did not run Articuno There were two Rocket's Mewtwo decks that both run two Articuno's so I guess dodging those is where you got "super lucky" from

Alakazam winning Champions League isn't that surprising to me. With most decks only relying on Unfair Stamp as their disruption card, putting an early Genesect in play makes it so that you are immune to hand disruption, which makes the deck difficult to beat.

@Ian__Robb Yes but it should be worth noting that the list that actually won CL Osaka does not play Genesect I assume this is because Alakazam having draw power on the board (Fez/Dudunsparce/etc) makes it one of the more resilient decks against Stamp/Red Card

what’s the most no brain deck after rotation considering 77/130 points this season came from raging bolt, perhaps that’s my forte.

Ok so I might be trippin’ but where was Judge reprinted so we can play it Post Rotation? Destined Rivals is G regulation on and I couldn’t find a Japanese reprint with anything later than that. Help?!?! I’m starting to believe that it WONT be legal Post Rotation…

@PokeDuelsTikTok They don’t have the “If you can’t discard” clause like the newer Ceruledge. So it works still.

@andr5w_ @Jctfordd It is being reprinted as J block in Japan. Since rotation happens slower outside of Japan, perhaps judge reprints will be in perfect order set instead.

Mega Lucario looks REALLY good post rotation and as I’m scouring through Facebook Marketplace to pickup IR Riolu’s, here’s why Lucario is going to be very strong: 1. Strong OHKO threats rotate. Gone are the titans of Gholdengo/Gardevoir/Charizard that can trivially kill a Lucario in one hit for pretty low commitment. Cards like Hero’s Cape don’t even work, since you’ll still get one shot through Hero’s Cape against these archetypes frequently. Most post-rotation archetypes will struggle to KO Lucario. 2. Iono Rotates Iono rotating benefits aggressive decks that can snowball early leads. It also benefits decks that can stash strong hands when they don’t get disrupted (think multiple Premium Power Pro, Wally’s Compassion, Hariyama, Boss’s Orders, etc) 3. Effective Judge Enabler There are few decks that can apply early pressure combined with the primary disruption of the format, Judge. (No, I will not be playing Harelequin) In a post rotation environment filled with single prize decks like Alakazam/Festival Lead, slamming Judges & hitting turn 1-2 KO’s with Solrock + Hariyama feels inherently strong. 4. Wally’s Compassion + Hero’s Cape In a field where we expect our Lucario to survive semi-often, the ability to eat a hit, retreat into a second Lucario & Wally the damaged one into an Aura Jab to re-establish energies feels quite good, especially given we’ll be more likely to hold Wally’s on key turns without Iono in format. I will definitely have to fly to Prague in April to play this deck 👍

Good morning! I know we’re still a ways from rotation, but if your main deck is rotating, what are you thinking of playing next? I might start to learn Zoroark better now that Zekrom is releasing soon, or maybe we continue to work with Tera Box. Professor Sada leaving is so sad
