Thought i would risk a early visit to Oldbury P.S.this morning. The area between the footpath and security fencing on Lag 2 was alive with small birds 10+ chiffchaff, 2 M blackcaps, 4 F/juv blackcaps, 2 common white throat ,plus long tailed tits, dunnocks goldfinches.

Mid morning Oldbury P. S of fencing between lag 2 and power station 2 spotted flycatchers and a black redstart. Also a flock of 60+ ring plover giving nice flying display up and down the river

Went to white sheet hill, Wiltshire this morning to see a new butterfly for me. The Glanville Fritillary. Have now seen all British Fritillaries

The female Black redstart on river bank just down from the jetty at midday and nice to see two Shoveler duck float past on the dropping tide . Oldbury P S . .

@bensonmorris First one is Candle Snuff Mate, second i've seen before but but not sure of id as looks quite small. Lots around to look for when the birds are thin on the ground ;-)

Lots of small Fungi at Oldbury P. S. this morning, don’t know what, but they are fascinating.
