Penn Engineering CBE juniors Gina Lin, Angelica Dadda, Max Huang and Jack Leitzell took 1st place at the WERC Environmental Design Contest, hosted by @nmsu_engineer. Their design recovers water vapor from power plant cooling towers, potentially saving 20M gallons/year and $350K in costs. Angelica Dadda also received the Terry McManus Outstanding Student Award. Support for the team’s participation was provided by the @WaterCenterPenn, @BentleySystems and @CBE_Penn, and their advisor @LorenaGrundy.
