The NCAA says there were sufficient grounds for a multiyear postseason ban. "However, the panel determined that a postseason ban would unfairly penalize student-athletes for the actions of coaches and staff who are no longer associated with the Michigan football program."

Last game I missed was the 2000 opener vs. Idaho. I was with the UW baseball team in Cuba. Cool that 300 comes vs. Northwestern, both of my parents' alma mater, and the last place to reject me for a full-time job before UW offered me one back in '91.

One baffling thing is the assumption Oregon is so well-positioned. At its height, the program never won a title and only got close once. Washington had 2 CFP trips while UO hasn’t been there in a decade, despite all this great recruiting. nytimes.com/athletic/56112…
