We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Paul Crocker, Hampshire League Secretary, this morning. In the short time we had the privilege of knowing Paul, he supported our club immensely. His help, guidance, and genuine care made a lasting impact, and he truly felt like one of our own supporters. We hope we can make him proud for the faith he showed in us. As a mark of respect, there will be a minute’s silence before Saturday’s match at Hedge End, and our players will wear black armbands. Our thoughts are with Paul’s family and friends at this difficult time. Rest in peace, Paul ❤️

Meon Milton Reserves 0–6 AFC Shirley A strong return to action for the Owls 🦉 A very solid performance with three goals in each half to book our place in the quarter-finals. Ormiston was the standout performer with 3 goals and 2 assists. Vidler and Mandigora were also excellent. With Brogan making another fantastic impact off the bench. We’re back in league action next week for the first time since November, with a trip to Liphook. Up the Owls! 🦉

AFC Shirley 5-0 Locks Heath A 5 star performance from the Owls against a very strong Locks Heath side. We flew out the blocks scoring early when a brilliant Hughes corner found Richardson who flicked his header home. Relentless Owls pressure continued & we got our second on the half hour mark when a slick move saw Ormiston slip in Vidler to double the lead. We continued to turn the screw & found a third just before the break when a Hunt long shot slipped through the hands of the keeper. 3-0 HT. After the interval the pressure continued when sub Brogan came on & instantly made an impact. Heading in another perfect Hughes delivery to get the 4th. A perfect display was rounded off by Brogan again. Vidler flicking on a ball which was dispatched perfectly by Brogans left foot. MOTM: Craig Hunt who ran the show, but could have been anyone today. Broughton 1-4 AFC Shirley A very good second half performance from the Owls after a lacklustre first. We struck early once again when Borgan slotted home from a Vidler through ball. We missed a few chances but dropped off massively. Broughton equalised from a set piece just before the break. After the break we came out the blocks fast. Wild denying a Broughton counter with a superb save. After that we were excellent. Hughes whipping in a a free kick to the back post where Brogan delightfully flicked in his second from a tight angle. A minute later an unbelievable Owls move with a serious amount of passes saw Hughes slip in Vider who finished coolly for the third. 6 minutes later the outstanding Brooks clipped in Mehta who drove the ball across goal where the skipper Austin arrived late to convert his first of the season. Broughton 0–2 AFC Shirley A strong display from the Owls yesterday secured a well-deserved win. We struck early when Borgan converted from an Ormiston pass, and after the break another inch-perfect delivery from Ormiston was met by Richardson, who powered home a header to double the lead. On a tricky pitch, it was a professional performance that limited the hosts to very little in front of goal. 🏆 MOTM, sponsored by @Crowncomps Liam Richardson, immense at the back once again. AFC Shirley 3-1 Liss Athletic Another great display from the Owls after Tuesdays injustice. We flew out the blocks early taking the lead after 5 minutes when Wood got in down the left, passed it into Hunt who slipped in Brooks, who shifted onto his right to convert his first for the club! 20 minutes later we had our second, when another great Hunt ball was whipped in, this time finding the head of Richardson who headed in the second. We had our third just before the break, this time Brooks slipping in Vidler who shrugged off his man to hit a deflected shot home. 3-0 at the break. Second half we came out the blocks quickly creating multiple opportunities but not finding our 3rd. A dodgy back pass saw Liss get one back but ultimately was just a consolation.
