Given that my $BERA sparked a pretty heated debate in the comments, I figured it was worth sharing some additional thoughts on what might need to change in the future. Founders' egos may not like those, but here are five simple solutions for successful TGEs that could help your project last more than just a couple of weeks: 1) Replace CEXs with DEXs and non-custodial solutions without sacrificing user experience. → cough, cough @infinex_app, cough, cough 2) Bring back the ICO days by making early access to even the most prestigious deals fair and openly accessible to everyone. → Shoutout to platforms like @echodotxyz and @legiondotcc, and projects like @megaeth that are pioneering this. 3) Eliminate value-extractive market makers who push you to list at crazy valuations so they can dump on you. Instead, list as low as possible to create positive upward momentum. → Prioritize a happy community over happy insiders - study $HYPE and @HyperliquidX. 4) Stop with the ridiculous airdrops that serve only as PR stunts “to make your community rich.” Instead, incentivize users based on clear KPIs that add real value to your project and design it sustainably. → Let’s be real: airdrops only create sell pressure. Make sure your incentive strategy generates more buying pressure than selling. 5) Stop overengineering your tokenomics, which creates massive token unlock overhangs. If you followed points 1–4, you wouldn’t have any reason to fear token unlocks. → If mayo hands want to leave, let them. Shifting the inevitable into the future won’t solve anything - it’ll just scare away potential new investors. And here’s the most important piece of advice, which you might hate the most: Do yourself a favor and build something that people genuinely want to use - something that goes beyond farming and chasing potential airdrops, and that actually creates value aka cash flows. Otherwise, your project is nothing but a memecoin.
