Congrats to my wife @DLoesch, who richly deserves this. She has been the most consistent voice in conservative media, in relentless pursuit of the truth and in defense of liberty. Very gratifying for an esteemed institution like @theMRC to recognize her. She’s been a top 5 host and the #1 woman in a male-dominated business for a very long time, and the liberals who control those industry awards will probably never recognize her! Good on @DavidBozell and the MRC crew, thank you. @thedanashow?si=uzOlCYod2r8iap1W" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">youtube.com/@thedanashow?s…

@ostrachan You truly do live the words you write below. I experienced it firsthand. 🙌🙏 —Instead of racing around everywhere, you can do less, show up on time, and have extended conversation with people, treating them not like problems to be conquered but human beings made in God’s image.

@LarryTaunton Love this. I just watched Gone With the Wind 2 days ago in a famous old theater here in North Georgia. Clark Gable was a great man.

This wasn’t merely a photo op. Gable flew real missions. Too old to be drafted, he joined and served in the Eighth Air Force stationed in East Anglia, England. His fellow B-17 Flying Fortress crewmen were initially skeptical of Gable’s service, thinking it a publicity stunt. But they soon realized it wasn’t. He (and fellow actor Jimmy Stewart) refused to stay on the glamorous sidelines as MGM, who held the rights to the Hollywood star, had urged. He flew no less than 5 combat missions and, according to those same crewmen, flew many more unofficially, eventually earning him the rank of major. Although he was at the peak of his post-“Gone with the Wind” fame, Gable tried to blend-in as much as he could and only leveraged his star power for the benefit of others. When Bob Hope came to London on a USO tour, he knew Gable was in the audience and called for “Rhett Butler” to stand up. Gable remained seated and servicemen around him refused to point him out. Generous to a fault, he treated them to nights out and took a keen interest in their lives. For their own part, they looked up to him and loved to follow in his wake on a weekend pass and a London pub crawl as British women flocked to be near him. Those he didn’t choose were fair game. He left the pretty ones to them. “They’re too much trouble,” he said. In his forties, Gable saw the young crewmen, who were mostly in their late teens or early twenties, as his own children. On one occasion, he went to visit the tail gunner of his B-17 who had been shot-up badly on a mission over Germany. The young man’s back was broken, his spinal cord severed, and a lung gone, he was bandaged like a mummy. Gable became emotional at the sight of him. The attending physician told him the boy didn’t feel anything due to morphine, said he wouldn’t live much longer, and began describing his injuries in detail on the spot. Gable, noticing tears welling in the boy’s eyes, grabbed the doctor, dragged him into the hall, and pushed him against a wall: “If you ever do anything like that again I’ll kill you!” Hitler, who liked Clark Gable’s movies — “It Happened One Night” was his favorite — offered a $5,000 reward for his capture. Fearing he’d be paraded around Berlin like a zoo animal if he ever parachuted from a wounded Flying Fortress, the actor said he’d “just go down with the sonovabitch.” Source: These stories and more are in Donald L. Miller’s excellent “Masters of the Air,” a book I finished just last week. Buy it.

I’m exhausted with all of Megyn’s statements lately about which new cohort has turned on Israel. It’s not a badge of pride. She says ALL the Dems have turned on Israel (and sounds somewhat gleeful). She tells us in other interviews that the youth has turned on Israel, that the right is turning on Israel, and of course it’s obvious that she has, too. Go with the popular position, I guess. I’ll stick with the only democracy in the Middle East.

OMG, Megyn Kelly said that Tucker Carlson did very, very well in his disastrous interview with the NYT. 😂 This honestly reminded me of Harry Sisson putting out a video saying how well Joe Biden did after the Trump Debate two years ago! TDS has destroyed her credibility!

Reposting because Rosaria’s comments are relevant to the troubling news out of Immanuel Church. No one should be gleeful about Sam Alberry’s sin. It is a tragedy, and he needs prayer. Churches that have misled others on the “same-sex attracted” issue need to go back to the clear teaching of God’s Word. The desire itself is a sin that must be put to death. As Rosaria says here, “Worldviews have consequences. Bad ones have casualties… The reason there should be no such thing as a same-sex attracted pastor is this: Homosexuality is found in the flesh. It’s forbidden in the Law. It’s overcome by the Savior.”

Rosaria Butterfield boldly sharing truth at the Answers for Women conference this weekend, apparently after eating a breakfast of Grape-Nuts sprinkled with gunpowder: "...It's a sin to tell a lie, but it's also a sin to believe a lie. And so, there is no such thing as a gay man or a lesbian woman or a transgender woman (and then you can fill in all of the different categories that come under the umbrella, LGBTQ). And the reason is because, in Genesis where we have to start, we are given our identity. Our identity is in the image of God, bearing it as a man or as a woman. There are two kinds of people in the world—a man or a woman. A man who says he's a gay man is a man with a sin pattern that Jesus came to help set him free from if he will mortify it, repent, believe, go to war. It's very hard to do that. I'm not suggesting it's easy, but that is our job, and you know what? It's not just somebody whose indwelling sin is homosexuality who happens to have that call. It's everyone, because we are all born in the sin of Adam. And it is because of the sin of Adam that we have sin in our nature. And that quite frankly means that every person in this room needs to wake up every morning, drive a thousand fresh nails into your choice sin and do that before breakfast and then do the same thing before lunch. And if you do that, Satan's gonna get a little tired of you. But here's the problem, homosexuality is the only sin pattern with a civil rights group behind it. And therefore, people who are deceived, as I was and Christopher [Yuan], by the lusts of our flesh have a cheering community behind you, and this is where you get the rub. You see, it used to be that the church was clear and the world was the world, but because we have wolves in shepherds' clothing, we have way too many young people who are leaving the true church and claiming, 'Well, my same-sex attracted pastor told me it's not a sin to be gay.' And you know, we are to be wise as serpents and gentle as doves. I want to be gentle with the people who are trapped in the lie of LGBTQ, but I am not gentle with the wolves...I quite frankly think they need to get a job selling insurance until they repent..." [Apologies for my shoddy video skills, but sadly, a big monitor was placed on the stage, blocking my view of the speakers for the Q&A.]

It’s May 4th, so I share again a special memory. He was watching the team warm up, our sponsor asked me to get him to say hello to Darth. Amy: “I need you to greet Darth Vader;” Al: “who the f**k is Darth Vader?” (But he did it for me anyway.)

I’ll be praying! Look for a Bible-believing church with a strong missional statement. No wishy-washy wording. Clear statements about the life, death, and resurrection of Christ. Clear statements about sin. Honestly, I’d knock the church out of the running if the pastor’s wife was a “co-pastor.” You already know that the church is in rebellion.

For a change of pace… The church my family has been attending for the past couple years isn’t something I’m happy with. The pastor has fully embraced “prosperity preaching” and spends entire sermons clubbing you over the head to tithe. I seriously feel like he’s a bad month away from his own “lock the doors” moment. His wife, the “co-pastor,” literally turned her back on me when I was going through a rough period, both personally and professionally. Honestly, growing up, I never had a good church relationship. There was a LOT of bad disguised as good. The older I get, the more I realize how toxic that environment was. For my little girl, I want her to grow up in faith. I want her to be a true believer in the Word. I want her to enjoy Christ and a relationship with Him. I only hope we can find a really good church in Florida that can nurture all of it. Y’all pray for my family and I, please.

Former atheist @LeeStrobel breaks down what made him a believer: The four E’s: 1. Execution 2. Early Accounts 3. Empty Tomb 4. Eyewitnesses “If I’m gonna follow the evidence … then I have to conclude that Jesus Christ didn’t just claim to be God, He backed up that claim…”

At One Gospel, Jeremy Vuolo is applying the gospel to the perennial problem of legalism. Legalism is a monster, a tyrant, a deceiver. The antidote to it is gospel theology--Christ crucified and resurrected for us. Christ is delicious food, pure oxygen, deep rest, true north.

The COVID cover-up goes all the way to the top. Fauci funded the Wuhan lab. Senior intelligence officials hid classified evidence from the president himself. Scientists were silenced. Millions paid the price. The DOJ has until May 11th to prosecute Fauci before the statute of limitations runs out. I am not letting this go. The American people deserve justice.
