I started asking my 12 year old son ‘who did you help today?’ instead of asking ‘how was school?’.
He now starts his stories with ‘I held the door’, ‘helped a friend with math’, or ‘asked someone to sit with us at lunch’.
He is deliberately sharing how he was being helpful.

Unpopular opinion but I’ll share it anyway: principals have been amazing this schoolyear. Thankless job. Angry parents. Constantly changing directives from politicians. Staff feeling beat down. Kids in crisis. And they showed up amid the chaos and did their best.

Embedding a shared slide deck for breakout room discussions in @PearDeck is great because Ss don't need to open another tab/window and when I change slides, they're off the shared slides! I can also name the version history for each period, restore old version, and reuse! 🙌🏼

My big Zoom learning today was that you can use Powerpoint Slides as your background and move from slide to slide! This will come in real handy for synchronous teaching or workshops!
