Transparent Elections NC trains people to image poll tapes in their own counties. These records are numerous & lengthy, so having small groups arrange to do the work themselves helps alleviate the burden for under resourced election officials.

Fulfilling these requests takes an enormous amt of time & $$ FOIA-request campaigns have snowballed across the country into denial of service (DOS) attacks on offices that are ill-equipped to respond WO diverted much needed resources frm other areas of election admin.
