I stopped messaging him, stopped checking his profile, stopped finding reasons to reach out, and stopped hoping for a message from him. Even when something reminded me of him, I didn’t search for his name or ask how he was. It wasn’t easy, because what we had was real, but missing someone isn’t always a reason to disturb their peace... or mine. I kept my distance and let the silence speak. I still think of him sometimes, still wonder if he thinks of me, but I no longer wait. I’ve made peace with his absence, learned to carry the love without needing the person, and never disturbed him again...not because I don’t care, but because I care enough about myself. If he wanted back, he would have, and since he hasn’t, I take that as my answer.

Today i realized i’m the problem. I allow people to do me any kinda of way, and I just love them anyway. I tend to choose people who aren't willing to choose me. And hold onto people I should let go of. But l am a pourer. I try to pour life, and positivity and energy into everyone around me without having the proper people in my life to pour it back. That stops today, I gotta love me more than I love them.
