Rural Development Training Centre trainers in Bhutan underwent a Landscape Technician Diploma Training as part of the BEST Project. Humber Polytechnic's Liane Cook led the group through lessons to equip RDTC trainers with skills to lead future landscape technicians in Bhutan. 🌱

Trainers at the Technical Training Institute completed a Digital Marketing training led by Humber Polytechnic's Anna Santilli, strengthening their knowledge and skills for future students to enhance employability & support success in Bhutan’s growing digital sector. 🌟

Trainers at The Royal Institute of Tourism and Hospitality completed Event Management training led by Humber Polytechnic’s Sadaf Virji. Participants gained hands-on event management experience, culminating in a fully coordinated closing ceremony at RITH’s banquet hall. 👏

Bhutan is building its next generation of entrepreneurs 🚀. 4 technical and vocational education & training institutions held a 3-day entrepreneurship bootcamp for 250+ students. Top entrepreneurs won seed funding & their startups will be incubated at hubs at their institutions.

Under BEST, TTTRC & BQPCA completed a 2-day training on embedding sustainability into TVET 🌱. Work included updating occupational standards, designing green curricula, and developing action plans & monitoring tools, strengthening Bhutan’s TVET for a more sustainable future.

With support from the #BEST Project, Bhutan’s DoEE is strengthening career guidance for youth. Through a 3-day ToT on the Career Compass toolkit, TVET counsellors are better equipped to link learners with labour market info, career skills, & pathways to sustainable livelihoods.

Through the #BEST project, TVET institutions across Bhutan are strengthening support for students’ non-academic needs. With counselling training led by RENEW, staff are building safer, supportive learning environments, helping youth stay engaged & transition into meaningful work.

In Nov 2025, Humber’s Barbara Martin completed a 5-day training on Quality Management in TVET under the #BESTProject in Bhutan. The training strengthened tools and understanding of quality standards, documentation, and evidence-based review to support stronger TVET programs.

In Nov 2025, Emily Buchnea from Humber’s Longo Centre for Entrepreneurship concluded an 8-day incubation management training in Bhutan under the #BESTProject. All 10 TVET institutes developed approved incubation plans, with 4 moving forward to establish hubs in early 2026.

From Dec 22–26, 2025, RENEW led a Gender Campaign Workshop for partners under the Bhutan Education and Skills Training (BEST) Project. Participants built skills to create engaging content, manage social media, and promote gender-inclusive TVET initiatives.
