Debate around VAR last night misses the point really. In general fans want less of it, so understandable in debatable calls, it stays out. The inconsistency is referee on-pitch. I guess he would argue Maguire was deliberately attempting to impede and Amad went down under minimal contact. Easy to see why others argue differently. Ref is the guy whose decision counts. Course if players from every club didn’t constantly maximise contact, it would be easier for refs but that is another discussion.

@14thefrog From Orient perspective - yes. From ours, highlights how bad our press was and how open we were all half. Everyone just slightly behind the play, so always chasing and never close enough to make a challenge.
