I can’t even express how furious I am for Zara’s family- and it is my job. Prior to this he had 28 convictions from 69 crimes. That night he tried to attack multiple women. She suffered 45 injuries. But reduce his sentence? Tell me again that this country cares about women

If Zara Aleena's killer is successfully going to get his sentence reduced because he beat her unconscious before some of the sexual assaults, what does that say about our justice system? He attacked her, sexually assaulted her- he murdered her. If he doesn't serve life, who does?

The standard that some are judged on are over looked for others, I do feel that Layton is forgiven for a lot of technical faults that others are pulled up on. Positives from me:
