@JesseThorn I also know people who homeschool because their kids are immunocompromised, so it's extra frustrating for them to get lumped in with anti-vaxxers.

I was in prison with moms who didn’t have anyone to care for their kids during their sentence. Their parental rights were permanently revoked, which is the most cruel and permanent collateral consequence that exists.

Twitter is like the nyc subway system - difficult to appreciate until it’s not there.

Today, Rikers island claimed its 18th victim this year. The death toll in NYC jails is at its highest since 2013. People are not just “dying”on Rikers Island. The jail is killing them through a combination of mismanagement, racism, and horrid conditions . It’s a hellhole.
