🚨 📢 🐢 Happy my third PhD chapter is finally out there in the world! Using the @NatCapProject coastal vulnerability model, we show how sea turtle nesting beaches over more than 600km of coastline are vulnerable to erosion and inundation.

Our conservationists were recently out in-the-field with partners in a secret location in Western Australia to translocate 44 critically endangered western swamp tortoise, in the hopes of helping this reptile survive the impacts of climate change. #RegenerateAustralia

Our conservationists were recently out in-the-field with partners in a secret location in Western Australia to translocate 44 critically endangered western swamp tortoise, in the hopes of helping this reptile survive the impacts of climate change. #RegenerateAustralia

Did you know there are as few as 80 adult western swamp tortoise remaining in the wild? 44 captive-bred swamp turtles were translocated and released into a secret location. We hope this helps the Critically Endangered species survive the impacts of climate change.

@simonyetmonyet @minimbus Hi Simon! Not all of the turtles are being relocated. The ones released down south were captive bred at Perth Zoo. The ones in Twin Swamps and Ellen Brook NR are staying put 🙂
