@BruskPoet He is under 3-movie contract he will return! He is a great actor. MK3 will resurrect him back. Cole Young was lazy written character. could have been better. IMO writers are throwing darts to make it into a story and not a game movie overall both movies are great.

I really need people to stop pretending to like Cole Young or think he’s a good character. I’m seeing way too much of it after the movie came out. Feeling bad for the actor not getting a fair chance in the franchise is different than saying the character was was good. The two are separate. The first is very valid and I also share. I want Lewis Tan back and he clearly wants to be Kenshi. I think that’s great. He’s genuinely a great martial artist and would work so well in Mortal Kombat with his talents but they have to be put to good use. Having him return as Kenshi and forgetting he was ever Cole Young would be a better and I know 99% of MK fans would be just fine with it. Frankly, all this “Actually Cole Young was a good character they did him dirty bring Cole back” are crocodile tears. None of you actually like or think he’s a good character. None of you did when the first one came out. Stop pretending to think otherwise. His character was a major part of why the first movie sucked and goes against the essence of the franchise. No one wants to watch a MK movie focused on a character that doesn’t exist in the games. They want it focused on characters we know and love.
