The disabled community has actually been the most radical I’ve been apart of. It’s also the one that challenges and pushes me to confront my own problematic (ableist) thought processes and understandings the most. I’ve never had to unlearn and rethink as much as this.

Maybe a hot take, but it seems like large segments of the left fail at solidarity with disabled people because they hold fundamentally orthodox and counter-radical notions of organisation and productivity, and so view the disabled as fundamentally without radical potential.
