@DickLaurent96 @TheVan We need four midfielders - some level of rotation. Not against Molumby really - think he’s a good Championship player.

@bfatchett @TheVan Yep. Big mistake will be to think Molumby and Diakite is the way forward though. By the start of September everyone will be moaning we can't keep possession of the ball. I would happily move on from Molumby in the summer, tbh. Pair Diakite with a footballer.

@DickLaurent96 @TheVan Agreed. But they need to be quicker, fitter and able to get around the pitch. AM has been ok - but he will not get us up the league next season.

@TheVan @bfatchett We will need a passer in midfield if we move on from Mowatt. Can't be going with a Molumby/Diakite duo next season. Ok for a relegation scrap, but not long term.

@AndyfromNewHamp @chris_boing Not just Daryl. His unwillingness to get Gilchrist, Maja out on the pitch and use Bostock as well baffling, you can see that Dike is making huge steps forward now. Would have been nice to have had that in December.

@chris_boing Daryl is way too classy to create a scene, but I chose my words carefully and can only say Mason’s treating of Dike was extraordinary, bordering on cruel. Made no sense. All Daryl needs now is a goal, and ALL of our strikers are way overdue. Hopefully, Saturday..

Yes diakite looked dead but simply don’t remove your CM and expect to stay in control. Dike looked like he could do 90 so why didn’t he. When you go to 9 players with maja and mowatt you reap what you sow.

@AndyfromNewHamp Yeah was gutted that we only have 10 games left of him. Suspect he’ll go elsewhere and score goals and be a real menace. As for Maja - looks scared - not sure how you resolve that.

@bfatchett Sounds cruel but for a man of Maja's age, you shouldn't be running the way he does... There's so much mind games after serious injuries, Dike looks confident he's over his injuries and looks the part..

So many positives. Pride in the shirt, players in their best positions, allied to a commitment rarely seen this season, James Morrison impact. Dike was immense, made Saints defenders work, huge contrast when he went off. Set the stall and set the standards. Made us believe again.
