Since I've started with WordPress back in 2008, I have developed/created/released/sold: 👉 7ish WP Themes 👉 30ish WP plugins (mostly WPBakery Addons) 👉 1 Options framework 👉 1 Page Builder 👉 1 Block plugin @wpstackable ...I really like to invent and code 😅

After years in WordPress, we're dipping our toes outside of it. Just finished our 3-day retreat planning: ➡️ Stackable, Interactions, Cimo roadmaps (still our main focus) ➡️ A new WordPress plugin ➡️ A browser extension ➡️ A unique website hosting platform WordPress is our core, but exploring new territory. Nervous and excited 🤩😬

🎉 Cimo just hit 3,000 active installs. That's 2,000 → 3,000 in 25 days. Most WordPress image optimizers: 👉 Charge $5+/mo for "unlimited" 👉 Send your files to external servers 👉 Have quotas and limits Cimo: ✅ Instant optimization as you upload ✅ Browser-based, no servers ✅ Actually unlimited ✅ $0/mo Download: wordpress.org/plugins/cimo-i…

@bfintal Nice one and directly go to Premium after a week of testing. When you allow AVIF?

Most WordPress image optimizers: • Eat up your server resources • Or send your files to external servers • And charge $5+/mo My plugin Cimo does it instantly as you upload. No servers. No limits. $0/mo. 👉 wordpress.org/plugins/cimo-i…

What do you use ACF for? Front end forms? Attaching custom fields to post types, and then what? I’m curious

I’m researching what the Block Editor still lacks today. Which tool would have the biggest impact for you? (Forward-thinking, no shortcode-based or traditional solutions) Reply with your ideas! 👇 I have a few in mind, but curious what others think! 🤔

When is it acceptable to show a sale notice on the WordPress admin dashboard?

@bfintal sorry I missed the part of the poll where you said "dashboard". I thought you meant in the admin in general. I am against plugins adding dashboard widgets (even RSS widgets), whose only intention is to add bright sales banners during sales. Just no

@syedbalkhi @aioseopack I would think that if you're an SEO expert you'd be excited about this.. doesn't it mean now there's another way to extend your site's reach. I can't imagine anyone saying "I'd rather fill up my meta fields on my own and use robots.txt rather this" 🤷

Lol and all the so-called "SEO experts" were upset when we made LLMs.txt feature available in AIOSEO for website owners @aioseopack 😁 This has happened several times now when folks who are "outdated" hide behind the label of "purist" and try to block / criticize innovation. If you want the best on page SEO plugin for WordPress, then use AIOSEO @aioseopack
Barry Schwartz@rustybrick

Whoa - Google Search Central added an LLMs.txt file to its portal seroundtable.com/google-adds-ll… via @LidiaInfanteM with a response from @johnmu

I said something on the @wpbuilds podcast this morning and aml pretty confident it's true. But maybe I'm wrong? "Nobody has yet built a successful business on the block editor. It's always an adjacent product (forms, events, eCommerce) that uses the power of blocks." True? 🤔

Stackable! We were one of the first block plugins, released back in Gutenberg beta. 6 years in, and we've expanded to more block editor-based plugins. ➡️ @wpstackable - puts the page builder in the block editor ➡️ @WPInteractions - build interactive experiences purely in the block editor Aside from us, Ollie also comes into mind.

Suddenly thought of something: SVG optimization can be added as another image optimization for Cimo! (Cimo is a next-gen free image optimizer for WordPress)

🚀 Cimo (the free plugin that optimizes images instantly on upload) is getting a massive upgrade: 👉 Video & Audio Optimization is coming on Monday together with the launch of Cimo Premium! Just upload your media as you normally would and Cimo optimizes it in real time, the uncompressed files NEVER touches your site. No server scripts. No third-party sending of files. Unlimited optimizations. Your site & server stays fast. Your storage stays clean. Your workflow gets easier.

@nickarceco @alexjpanagis Good idea for a UI! Cimo doesn't have a UI for this since you set the max width/height quality and it's just it just converts everything so it doesn't get in your way. Although perhaps there are people who want fine-grained control for one by one images

@bfintal @BuildWithOllie @WordPress I’m not at my computer to confirm, but I think everything in there is available via code packages now. I use the full range of icons and I don’t bundle them separately, they come from the core icon package.

Someone asked how we make all of our @BuildWithOllie interfaces feel like native WordPress. Here's a video talking through how we do it. → Use the many core components available → Don't reinvent the wheel, match the core UI vibe → Keep it super simple → Work with a designer

@Gtarafdarr @wpbakery Video aspect ratios are preserved. You can set a max resolution (like 1080p) then larger videos would get resized down to that. There’s a quality setting as well, it’s currently set to balanced, but can be decreased or increased :)

@bfintal Wow, that's super cool. Amd thanks for giving support for @wpbakery . I have some curiosities? Does the video are reaming in se aspect ratio or will it be changed to lower? Or any quality degradation?
