Per multiple reports, Gavin Fowler has taken on DC duties for the Weber State Wildcats, helping Eric Kjar build out his staff as well. Former BYU DB and Head Coach of Tyler Junior College, Tanner Jacobsen will also be on staff at Weber State, coaching special teams from what I've been told. Of note....Fowler’s résumé is rooted in the BYU Cougars, where he’s been part of the program since 2011 as a player, GA, analyst, and position coach. He’s well-versed in institutional knowledge spanning over a decade + and knows the defensive system that’s powered BYU’s success the last two seasons If Jay Hill takes the Michigan DC job, one must wonder whether Fowler would be among those targeted to return to Provo. He would be a natural fit to help maintain continuity at BYU.
