On Wednesday, we showcased the wide-ranging positive impact gymnastics can have on people, communities and society with a special reception at the House of Parliament to celebrate the @bgfoundation 10th anniversary, with a particular focus on their amazing age and dementia-friendly seated-gymnastics programme, Love to Move. ⭐ The event highlighted how sport can change lives, shape communities and help take pressure off the NHS by improving health and wellbeing, with Love to Move deliverers sharing personal stories demonstrating how the Love to Move programme can help people to age well and even regain functions they thought they had lost. During the event, the deliverers also ran interactive sessions, allowing MPs and guests from organisations across the sport and health sector to participate and see the joy the programme can create. It was incredible to hear all the positive conversations in the room and we were delighted with the responses received on the day. We look forward to what’s to come for Love to Move and to continuing to support the British Gymnastics Foundation to improve the lives of those in our community through the power of gymnastics.

We were delighted to partner with @NFG_Fostering to give young people the opportunity to take part in gymnastics this summer. We are especially grateful to the British Gymnastics Clubs that have embraced this project 💫💙

Next month, as part of our work to showcase the wide ranging positive impact gymnastics can have, we'll be taking over the Churchill Room in the House of Parliament to host our very own Parliamentary Reception to celebrate the 10th anniversary of @bgfoundation, with a particular focus on one of its flagship programmes, Love to Move. In need of some new gymnastics equipment? 🤸‍♂️ @BritGymnastics have recently donated some fantastic gymnastics equipment to us that we are pleased to be auctioned off to raise funds for our programmes. All items have been used a small number of times and are in great condition.
