We had a new friend join our classroom this week, to help spark our imaginations and technique for all modes of writing. Everyone meet Walter LeBron Jose Butter to the Ball!

3rd graders @StemleyRoad worked on the history of Valentine's Day by locating important facts within a historical text. Students will continue this assignment into a writing prompt tomorrow. I can't wait to see their responses. @adrychat @AlexksJ

Third graders @StemleyRoad compared and contrasted the classic story of Town Mouse and Country Mouse today! This is always my favorite! Written letters move to phone calls, and an abundance of food moves to famine! @adrychat @AlexksJ

3rd graders @StemleyRoad created timelines using a historical text. After creating their timelines, they had the opportunity to use spheros to stop and share each important event. @AudreyChatman4 @AlexksJ

Continuing with the "Growth" mindset of Culture Day, teachers, coaches, and admin @StemleyRoad worked together on a STEAM challenge, to decorate a garden stone for our new garden area. I can't wait for our students to see each masterpiece in the new area! @adrychat @AlexksJ

Spent our last day before spring break getting our strawberry roots ready! Thank you to Alabama Farmer's Federation, Women's Chapter, for the book, I Love Strawberries. It was a great literacy/ag lesson today. @StemleyRoad @adrychat @AlexksJ

Reading Carousels in 3rd grade today @StemleyRoad . Not only were students answering questions, they were proving where they got the answer in the text. To top it off, some students were even teaching their peers new strategies. @adrychat @AlexksJ @TCBOE
