Our Year 6 Grange World Book Day competition winners enjoyed a trip to Coop Grange for a Traitors-style game. Each child received a brand-new book — the perfect end to a fantastic day. Well done to all our winners!

We are so proud of CJ for the fantastic writing he has produced this week. He has taken great care with his presentation and has done a superb job. Keep it up, CJ!

In Art and Design, Year 1 have been sketching. We looked at different types of houses and had to draw them from memory! #SketchbookSkill

This week in Reception we have been preparing for Easter: decorating and filling baskets, painting colourful eggs and experimenting with colour mixing to make new shades. We have learned and written about the Easter story and why this special time matters.

A huge well done to our prefect, Zariya on winning not 1 but 2 bronze medals at her kickboxing tournament in Birmingham over the weekend. Super effort Zariya - we are very proud of you!

Maple have enjoyed working outdoors during Maths this week using rulers and metre sticks to measure different items. We had to think mathematically and carefully measure to work out if we should measure in cm or metres. #Maths #Outdoorlearning

Larch class had lots of fun during their Easter activities. They learned the Easter story and then made Easter crafts demonstrating their colouring and cutting skills effectively.

A big well done to Zebedee in Reception for producing such beautiful writing about the Easter story—what a fantastic effort! 👏 ✏️ 🐰

The children in Holly Class had a fantastic time during their scooter session as part of Celebration Day. They loved trying out new skills, building their confidence and cheering each other on — they were really on a roll! It was wonderful to see everyone having an amazing time.

We're so proud of our Brackenhill artists for creating two pieces for Bradford College’s ‘Futures’ project: the 2D "The Tree of the Future" and 3D "Brackenhill Memory Machine". On display at the Dye House Gallery from Thursday 26 March. 🎨🖌️🖼️

Earlier this week, the children in reception and year 1 were thrilled by an amazing magic show during our Celebration Day. It was a delightful experience for everyone! 🪄 🎩

Children enjoyed sharing their Ramadan customs and trying dates. As Eid approaches, they loved displaying henna patterns and creating playdough Eid foods.

As part of Brackenhill Celebration Day, Year 5 had the exciting opportunity to take part in a scooter session, where they learned a range of impressive tricks and developed their confidence and skills.

To celebrate the upcoming festival of Eid, we have been busy creating these beautiful moons and stars. The children used paper plates and a variety of sparkly sequins and glitter to represent the night sky. Eid Mubarak to the families celebrating!

Year 2 have been learning about how things move in Science. We made our own boats with sails and then transported them from 'land' to 'sea' to see how a transporter would work. #Science #Dimensions

Last week, during British Science Week, our school's big question was: What birds live locally? Each class studied a different bird through observational drawings, bird watching, and listening to bird songs. They also made bird feeders to attract birds to our school.
