@cowlonfull I doubt Ben is old enough to remember a country when the best soccer you could watch was indoors. Do I want pro/rel? Hell yes. Am I going to shit on fans who enjoy MLS? Hell no. I waited a long damn time for high level outdoor soccer in KC. The Wiz were a dream come true for me

I’ve given up telling people to support local soccer. Namaste, everyone can do what they want. But these people just get to say whatever they want about you and the teams you support and the communities you inhabit. It’s incredibly insulting and I’m sick of it

MLS franchises are not woven into the fabric of communities... they are just air dropped into a city with no true & organic connection. People & communities are the are the heart and soul of football/soccer clubs around the world. This is why MLS is ignored by most USA ⚽️ fans.

Kansas City will inevitably get some Women’s World Cup games in 2031, maybe even a semifinal. Would not be surprised if Copa is in the USA in two years if Kansas City hosted a couple games again.

This Argentina team reminds me of the 2024 Chiefs. Just winning by the thinnest and most dramatic of margins. And I fear Argentina could suffer the same fate in the final if they make it and play France.

@NickEmes2024 Yes I was a little harsh there. I hate that VAR can give a yellow for simulation there. Take away the yellow and the foul, and let the referee decide on a card. Don’t mandate it.
