First night of practices for the 2026 Season of the Grissom Leadership League. Tomorrow will be season #26 for the league. The name & location of the games have changed over the years but the philosophy has remained the same.

Learn the importance of being a Great Teammate, Learn the fundamentals of Basketball, Sportsmanship & Positivity and Have Fun! I love the fact that kids I coached are now coaching and some have their children playing in the league. I even have grandchildren of friends playing.

Stair Slides, Gingerbread Houses, Cookie Decorating, Christmas movie marathon, Shopping, Wicked, Pancake breakfast, late night laughter, silliness & full hearts. I hope the pre-Christmas, 2-Day Celebration at Grammy and Grampy’s will someday mean as much to them as it does to us

High school basketball isn’t about how many championships you can win—it’s about how many lives you can change. Wins fade. Banners collect dust. But character? That stays with your players forever.

Every night before bed Lynne Fullhart Hatfield & I ponder where will we sleep since the dogs take up most of the King Size bed? I love my boys Manning, Knoxville & Mac. They sure are spoiled.

Our little boy is 1 today! 🎉🎂🎁🎈! He has been a blessing to our family. Manning is full of personality, mischievous & so loving. Even when he digs up my tropical plants and makes a big league mess, he still puts a smile on my face. I love that silly dog!

What a blast from the past! Lynne Fullhart Hatfield & I as Sonny & Cher singing “I got you Babe” at Morrison-Mock in 1999. Mary Goth always put on great events as the physical education teacher at Morrison-Mock. What a wonderful memory. I feel a reunion tour coming Lynne!
