I will be deactivating this account in the next few days. I’ve tried to migrate everyone I’m following here to my other Twitter account - @MntnrMark - but if I missed someone please go there and follow me there. Thank you.
Too much Buddy Buckets, plus early turnovers and multiple missed close-in shots. I hope everybody comes back next year. This team could be really special in ‘21-‘22.
You can’t crash all of your rebounders toward the rim on three-point shots. The rebounds typically come out further. Somebody needs to be near the foul line to try to get the long bounces off the back of the rim.
As bad as it went for WVU in the first 16 minutes, a flurry in the last 4 cuts the lead to 6. To be trailing by only 6 at the half the way ‘Cuse has shot the ball is a welcomed development.
Tennis has an ideal term for most of WVU’s TOs so far - “unforced error”. On most of these turnovers it’s West Virginia simply throwing the ball away. This team looks as rattled and out-of-sync as I have seen them all year. Welcome to Boeheim’s tournament time 2-3 zone.
For WVU to win this game practically every close-in shot has to go in. Through the first 13 minutes WVU is putting on a clinic in how to miss those kind of shots.
Win No. 900 for Bob Huggins. Hey, Basketball Hall of Fame nominators - stop whatever exclusion campaign you’re waging and correct your egregious error by putting this deserving coach where he belongs - IN THE HOF!
