Here is what WFH actually does to the economy: The software engineer saves fuel. Good. The office canteen loses customers. Bad. The auto stand outside empties out. Bad. The chai walla shuts shop. Bad. The commercial landlord loses tenants. Bad. One person saves. Five people earn less. That's the math nobody is doing.

The first setback of life really hit hard.

@SiddharthKG7 After corona I'm doing WFH and it's a blessing for me. I can say I have achieved more from WFH than being in the office. Office have Useless meetings Breaks Gossips Ye humse na ho pata isliye jb bhi office ja rhe kam na ho pa rha.

Sometimes, I wonder what kinda work you can do from home for office. I mean I am sure people do it and you can, I have never been in such establishment which was so sham (or hitech) that they could do without physical presence of their employees. I know techies can do it from anywhere and that seems reasonable. But still, there has to be some sort of superficial places where people do random basic work & call their day productive. If these places are just few, then why someone important like PM would ask people for WFH?!

@ShivrattanDhil1 This is being common at many gurudwara. Around 2-3 years ago we visited Nanded and we were taking photos outside gurudwara gate, no public and not disturbance to anyone, still one guy came and stopped us with lots of gyan.

Being a Sikh, I would say this is absolutely wrong. If common people are not allowed to record or take photos, then why were professional cameramen allowed to do a full shoot for Justin Trudeau? Rules should be equal for everyone. Personally, I sometimes feel scared while visiting Harmandir Sahib that a sewadar may suddenly scold for no reason. It doesn’t feel like this comes from the authorities it feels like some arrogant sewadars trying to act like heroes by intimidating people. Such a holy and peaceful place should make people feel spiritually connected and welcomed, not fearful or uncomfortable.

@prinkasusa Here's what I don't understand. Maybe someone can enlighten me. It happens every month. There's a cycle with predictable stages so you know when it's close. Why not put the pads on in anticipation when you know you're close?

I started my period unexpectedly at work and bled through onto an office chair. I was mortified because my manager was a man. I told him, bracing for humiliation. You know what he did? He didn’t make me clean the stain while panicking. He quietly got cleaning supplies, took care of the chair, handed me his jacket to tie around my waist, made sure I had pads, and helped me find a change of clothes. No jokes. No disgust. No scene. He just made sure I was okay.
