🎓 Created in 2022, by the family of Professor Nuno Grande, @ICBAS_UPorto and the #BialFoundation, the Nuno Grande Doctoral Scholarships support research work by physicians who, collaborating in medical teaching, are enrolled in a doctoral programme in the area of #FundamentalHealthSciences. 🏆 On behalf ofthe entire research team, Laurence Zitvogel, @GustaveRoussy, @UnivParisSaclay, took to the stageto express gratitude for being awarded the #BialAwardinBiomedicine 2025, highlighting that in 2018, herteam discovered “that gutmicrobiota had a fundamental impact on immune response, facilitating new therapies for cancer treatment”. 📽️ This was followed by a video presentation ofthe research behind the winning study, which showed how the use of antibiotics can negatively impact the effectiveness of immunotherapy by reducing gutmicrobiota diversity.
