I spent 3 full days trying to photograph bees around the cherry blossoms. They are fast and aren't easy to catch. This is one of my favourites.

@BroochByMar @NoonaMoonie We need to be in SPACE! 🛰️🚀🌌and sew in zero gravity! But seriously, take stretch breaks if your fingers go numb, because that's nerves and blood vessels getting angry! I had to have a year of almost no sewing and then expensive surgery.😭Ok, that's the end of scolding for now!

Embroidering the edges of the AriRang keychain / brooches is the hardest part 😂 the circles are small and my fingers hurt a bit cause I have to like press them between my fingers to keep them still. BUT, I LOVE working on these commissions soooooo much ☺️💜😘

@BroochByMar @NoonaMoonie Is it hurting your muscles, or hurting your skin because of the beads? I was thinking muscles, remembering my Oreos. But also, you can do some temporary basting stitches through the whole sandwich to hold it in place while you stitch, and then you don't have to pinch so hard.

The material is what we call pith paper in English, and what Victorians called rice paper as a guess because they didn’t know the tree (Tetrapanax papyrifer. Don’t call it rice paper unless it’s made of rice). I’ve conserved pith paintings but I’ve never seen flowers like this!
