Tweets like this are hilarious. They're fighting for their lives to spin a narrative and rewrite history. They know dang well this is not the name our ancestors, writ large, identified with. Also, it's weird that they're fighting this hard. Call yourself whatever you want, but you do not speak for all Black Americans.

@piffjones420 @mcg_celeste Foundational refers to the foundation on United States as our ancestors were here before that. Languages spoken by American Indigenous were stripped through Indian schools and intimidation. And English uses lots of Native words
