There are a few basic rules that you need to understand and a few simple techniques to help pull off that stop-motion vibe we all love so much. here are a few key rules to follow: rule #1 if you barely have any motion on your character, the effect really won't make much of a difference. The 2's effect depends on the motion. The more motion you have = the better the effect! rule #2 locomotion-based animations lend themselves super well to the effect because they are in constant motion. Think Spiderman & TMNT when they are in battle/action scenes, running, jumping, anything locomotion based. The effect really looks hot when characters are in motion! rule #3 you don't have to have perfect body mechanics/ locomotion. When you apply the effect, it masks a lot of imperfections and actually does help make it look cool! You can get a little wacky with your animations and get away with it! ;) // coffee break ☕️ // In my Zombie run animation below, I used the following techniques: technique #1 - full body = on 2's you select all of your character animation and bake it on 2's. technique #2 - COM/hips = spline grab your com & hip controller and spline both! technique #3 - Head = spline select your head and spline that too! ;) ...and THAT is how I animated this Zombie run on 2's! .
